I have a foundation of education and experience in the engineering industry, specializing in civil land development, mining, and project management. My consulting services draw from my range of technical work, experience with multiple teams and projects, and a master's degree in Project Engineering and Management. I now apply these engineering problem-solving skills to large industrial clients seeking to improve their operational efficiency - especially in mining production.
My civil experience has centered around residential and commercial development, which consists of guiding clients through land surveys, entitlements, civil design, and construction. I have had the pleasure of working on a wide variety of projects and with various types of project teams.
Mining is one of the greatest industries in which an engineer can really experience the interplay between corporate strategy and the labor force. Often, engineers are insulated from the effects and constructibility of their plans. Not so when one must deal directly with those who must implement the design. It is important to understand rock mechanics, equipment capabilities, mining sequences, and - most importantly - be able to deal with a wide range of people.
As a result of my experiences in both fields and my successful project management, I am a licensed Professional Engineer in both Montana and Nevada. In addition, I hold licenses in both disciplines, Mining and Civil Engineering.
