Five years experience as a solicitor, before spending the last eight years as a legal recruitment consultant, concentrating primarily on the recruitment of solicitors as well as legal executives, for legal jobs in law firms in the regions and London as well as offshore. Also been involved in mergers and law firm acquisitions, and recruiting for small, medium and larger size firms and in house departments. Have been retained by a number of firms and organisations.
Goal is to expand the company further and manage a whole range of legal services. The Ten-Percent group has been around since April 2000, and is well known in the legal profession and other circles for its very different approach to recruitment, including a 10% donation of annual profits to charity. The group also recruits IFAs, architects, accountants and legal support staff.
I do enjoy career coaching though to anyone from law students through to senior partners, and lecture every year on CVs and interviews as well to postgraduate students.
Goal is to create a website that just about covers all angles of a lawyers career from start to finish, and offers services to them along the way.
