I have a substantial knowledge of the editing & publishing world. As well as working in the small press industry for the past four years, I currently hold a position as the managing editor of a regional, multicultural magazine.
My current part-time job is running The JB Dryden Company. We are a small business focusing on professional editing for fiction and non-fiction.
Proficient knowledge of the Chicago Manual of Style. Five years experience as an freelance editor.

As a member of the Board of Directors, it is my job to assist in the implementation of policy and budget for the Wisconsin Regional Writers Association. I also act as Vice-Chair of the Publications Committee, which publishes the Association's journal and other promotional material for the organization.

I work as the Regional Coordinator for Southeast Wisconsin (Dodge, Washington, Ozaukee, Jefferson, Waukesha, Milwaukee, Walworth, Racine, and Kenosha counties). I work to promote the Association, work with regional writers groups to improve their membership, and aid writers throughout the region in the best way that I can.

Sheer Speculation Press is a division of The JB Dryden Company. It publishes Speculative Fiction works. Currently, the press will only be putting out the Staffs & Starships Magazine of Speculative Fiction.

The Milwaukee Writers Workshop is a non-profit group interested in improving the writing of its members with the intention of helping those members get published. We have been around for nearly three years (August 09) and have a regular group of 30 members. Some of members include a copy-editor, a high-school teacher, and a retired architect.
