Division Leader and Publisher at Miles Media
Sarasota, Florida Area
I have worked in the hospitality industry since 2001 and love it. After graduating from the University of Kentucky, I started working for MeriStar Hospitality at South Seas Resorts on Captiva and Sanibel Island, FL. My first position was bartending. This wasn’t exactly what my parents had in mind after putting me through college, but you have to start somewhere.
After months of bartending, I moved to the sales and marketing department where I was responsible for our interactive strategy. Quite a jump from serving Pina Colada’s (thanks for the chance.) I was told to manage the redevelopment of our seven resort websites and make more money on them. With some good advice, a lot of work, and even more luck we redeveloped the sites, re-tooled the marketing strategy, and increased annual direct bookings by $2.91 million, a 34% increase.
I went to work for Miles Media in 2004. I've held numerous positions at Miles Media from project manager to new business development. Today, as a Division Leader, I work with some really smart, fun, and challenging people to create digital and print marketing programs for our destination clients.
At the end of the day, I'm still like a bartender...serving clients and always available for a conversation. Give me a call if you want to chat. My cell number is 215-609-6851.
