Associate editor and writer for DIYPlanner.com, a community site devoted to productivity and creative techniques. Home to the famous D*I*Y Planner kits, a series of free printable templates to organize one's time, life and thoughts, downloaded over 600,000 times. I am responsible for writing a weekly column focusing around creativity, journaling and productivity related ideas. I also edit and manage content provided by other writers and guest posters. Moderate and edit online posts; helped write the DIY Planner manual.

Suppoted technical service manuals for large scale products. Used reusable content (single-source and leveraged) to write, edit, and publish manuals and service notes. Systems include the use of Concentra, Vasont, Arbortext Epic Editor, XMetaL, and Sharepoint. Interviewed technical marketing leads and design engineers for content.

Worked with Subject Matter Experts and Project Managers to ensure product accuracy. Standardized manuals to comply with ASD-STE100 and ANSI warning standards. Participated and lead testing efforts for all nike.com, niketown.com and nikeid.com website QA projects. Tested sites for technical and design compliancy. Performed cross browser testing across both Mac and Windows platforms with a wide variety of browsers. Familiar with a variety of test methodologies and products to record issues including Rational Rose ClearQuest and Mozilla Bugzilla. Wrote extensive test cases, test plans and use cases for all projects. Wrote and compiled technical specifications standards for all nike websites designed and developed by in-house and external agencies. Recommended new technologies and software packages to enhance site workflow and performance. Worked with Agencies to assist in testing. Helped write Policies and Procedures. Helped create and administrate QA Lab. Recipient of the Alberto Salazar Award for team excellence in 2004 for work done on nikeid.com.

Designed, wrote and maintained laughingpan.com and deliriamuse.org (both sites offline). Developed the two sites using HTML, CSS, and geeklog. Created all graphics and wallpapers using Adobe Photoshsop. Designed business cards and flyers with Adobe InDesign. Recommended and purchased technologies based on company’s web needs.

September 1999 – October 2000 (1 year 2 months)

Collateral design work included creating layouts for data sheets, postcards, cd labels, corporate stationary and product documentation. Used Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, PageMaker and Quark XPress to design all collateral. Knowledge of the Pantone Color Matching System for both print and web. Wrote and edited the copy for all Chrome collateral. Contact person between Chrome and press shops, signed off on blue-lines and proofs. Designed Web banner ads and helped write copy for corporate website. Content Editor and designer for Hotwire, the corporate Intranet, using HTML and CSS.

Created graphics and covers for print collateral and proposals using Adobe Photoshop. Wrote and designed the layout for contracted and in-house documentation using MS Office, MS Publisher, Adobe Acrobat, and Adobe PageMaker. Was a designer and editor of Rapley Raps, the company newsletter. Developed and provided content for intranet using HTML, Adobe Acrobat .pdf, FrontPage 98 and Allaire HomeSite. Helped design and maintain corporate website using HTML, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), Adobe Photoshop, MS FrontPage 98 and Allaire Home Site. Also on design team for The VECO Times, corporate intranet.
