Jayastu Bhattacharya’s Summary

Innovation professional with broad experience in Internet, technology, marketing and finance.

I have helped start, fund and close Internet companies, worked in the major agency world, and currently am moving around Citigroup as an innovation manager and corporate venture capitalist.

As an innovation specialist, I work to identify opportunities that would otherwise fly under the radar of the ROI focused venture capitalists and corporate operators. Investments with strategic focus and long term, customer-centric value potential are the primary criteria for future growth.

Working through the late 90s Internet boom and bust provides a unique perspective for future growth opportunities and the options one needs to play in order to take advantages of modern business contexts such as Web 2.0 and mobile

Since most of the opportunities I have dealt with are underwritten by technological capability and consumer behavior, my time as a web developer and site producer as well as consumer insight training are great foundations. Finance, deal structure and risk management has been taught to me by the folks at Citigroup. And now I am starting a new company funded by them and SK Telecom. Mobile Money Ventures LLC will focus on best in class financial services and consumer experiences delivered on mobile devices. Our customers are banks and other financial providers who use our platform to deliver value to their customers.
