I am honoured to have been asked to manage the social media for a great company with a great product - the UOWHO bracelet.
If someone asked you to think about doing a single kind thing, most of us would try, some of us would forget and some would just not get to it. The UOWHO™ bracelet is a simple, tangible reminder. If someone did a kind thing for us and gave us the UOWHO™ bracelet and asked us to pass it on, we would be more likely to follow through.
The bracelets can be 'branded' with your name, logo or website address - so for non-profits looking to raise funds or spread awareness of their cause - or companies looking gain good PR and awareness, what better way than by encouraging random acts of kindness.

I have been working with Mark Rowntree of Social-smart, Boston-based company who has a great application that allows companies to integrate their search, email and social media marketing campaigns, all from one convenient dashboard. I am also Social Media Manager for UOWHO.COM, a local company launching a unique fundraising product that encourages random acts of kindness! UOWHO's social media will be launched towards the end of November, 2009.

Karuna Village is the retail arm of the Fair Trade Cafe in Downtown Phoenix, Arizona. It is a non-profit organization which provides an outlet for high quality fair trade fine art and crafts from around the world, helping to support developing communities and sustainability by opening up markets in the U.S. I volunteered on a part-time basis to source and procure suitable art from around the world, and on a fair trade basis.
With the addition of a second cafe in July 09, someone was taken on to run Karuna Village full time.
