Software internationalization and web development mercenary, Web retailing entrepreneur
Greater Seattle Area
After a long career in software internationalization, I risked everything to take on a more entrepreneurial focus, introducing US customers to Asian lifestyle goods. The fruits of that are on YuzuMura.com, my online retail store.
I also continue to work on various software projects, preferring web or internationalization-focused development/project management/QA lead roles. Most of the value I deliver in such projects comes from a long history dealing with esoteric and complex issues in preparing software for international markets, particularly web projects. I'm also reasonably useful as a web developer and occasionally for writing test automation.
I love work that involves coordinating between geographically dispersed teams, and I particularly enjoy working on the market and technical requirements for Japan, Korea, and Greater China.
Consumer: Developing relationships with customers and vendors, marketing, sales, promotions.
Software: Internationalization, offshore vendor management, vendor training, web applications development, QA management.
