An entrepreneur by nature, at the age of 18, Jason founded a recording studio, which spawned into four independent record labels 2 years later. In 1995, the necessity of utilizing alternative marketing vehicles helped him discover the power of the internet. Jason tapped into the potential of the online global niche communities early on, and was truly inspired by its increasing potential. Then in 1997 he left the music industry to pursue a career in digital marketing.
Founding one of the first digital media agencies in the late 90's, Mass Transit Interactive, Jason helped pioneer some of the qualitative and quantitative best practices that are employed in the digital media industry today. Mass Transit developed a reputation of being a highly specialized and experienced digital media shop that can deliver results. In 2005 Jason sold the agency to Horizon Media, the largest independent media agency in the US, and became the Managing Director of Horizon Interactive. In July of 2007, Jason resigned from Horizon to focus on activities for Laredo Group as well as his other businesses.
Jason also runs a multi-pronged specialized photography business. He is a commercial underwater, travel, and lifestyle photographer servicing the advertising industry. Currently Jason is a featured columnist for Sport Diver Magazine, the largest dive magazine in the US. In 2004 he founded one of the largest underwater photography and videography websites, DivePhotoGuide.com, dedicated to providing a full suite of progressive online resources to a growing global community of underwater photographers and videographers of all levels.
