Triple-CCIE #16983 (Routing and Switching, Security, SP)
Columbus, Ohio Area
My personal goal is to ensure that with applied dedication and perseverance every one of my students will achieve their CCIE certification. Working with a world class team of instructors, course developers and support engineers, led by Wayne Lawson our CEO, that is an achievable goal at IPexpert.
I believe that when teaching someone to become a Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert I should essentially teach them both how to teach and how to learn: the role of an expert is to be able to both implement technology in their area of expertise and communicate their knowledge to others. In the field, CCIEs may provide the final line of support for issues with implementation of Cisco technologies. They may need to design world class networks that span multiple continents. They may need to lead and mentor other engineers. All these functions require both detailed knowledge of technology as well as experience in the practical implementation so that they can adequately manage their teams.
I am a highly skilled network and security systems engineer and instructor specialising in networking technologies with a proven ability to configure, use, maintain and troubleshoot complex networks in highly visible environments with non-negotiable deadlines. Working as a consultant, some of my notable clients have included Fosters, V/Line, Alphawest, and the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games and as an instructor I have trained engineers from many hundreds of major private and public sector institutions.
In my profile, I indicate that I am interested in job opportunities, amongst other things, as I am sure that I never know where the next relationship will come from that can help others and myself achieve their dreams. If you send me job opportunities I have no intention of accepting them myself but I will happily forward them to anyone in my network who has expressed a desire for a such a position.
Please don't hesitate to ask for anything as if I can find a way to help, I will.

At IPexpert I have the fortunate pleasure to provide training delivery of CCIE RS, Security and Service Provider classes to students from across the world.
In my role as a Senior Technical Instructor, I deliver instructor led training in a number of formats. IPexpert's 5 Day Boot Camp format, blends together an intense coverage of the theory and implementation of networking technologies as well as allowing students to demonstrate their understanding by implementing hands-on labs throughout the course. On the final day, each student is tested with a challenging mock lab to assess their readiness for the real CCIE lab.
Another format which IPexpert offers and I deliver is the 5 day Lab Experience course. On the first four days of the course students implement challenging mock labs, each more content rich and difficult than the real CCIE lab. During these labs and particularly on the final day I have the opportunity to coach and assist each student on the areas where they need assistance in determining which technology to implement to achieve a given task and also fine tune their knowledge by having them teach me back the theory of the technologies which they wish to understand on the white board and honing both their communication skills and detailed knowledge of each technology prescribed for that particular CCIE track.
Additionally, in my role at IPexpert I am responsible for the creation and maintenance of our self study products in the tracks that I specialize in, which include video tutorials of the course theory, audio explanations of technologies and complex training lab scenarios that enable students to learn in a self paced format.
Furthermore, in order to support students and engineers in the field I am one of many contributors to forums including OnlineStudyList.com and Groupstudy.com which are provided by IPexpert and by Paul Borghese, respectively, so that we can continue to ensure that knowledge of network technologies is shared.
