VC Partner, Technology
San Francisco Bay Area
Main goal: to drive tangible cross-border venture-capital results, leading industry direction, investment, and product revenue.
In addition to forming Argon, I lead IBM's Venture Capital direction in semiconductors, hardware, and China, creating and running several first-time VC partnership initiatives around open platforms with dozens of firms and start-ups. I have been a technologist for about 20 years, producing 20+ patents, revenue-generating product designs, and first-time partnership initiatives. I have also led industry-wide initiatives such as the first quantified chip design industry roadmap. I have previously lead IBM's efforts in adaptive communications research, and have had prior stays in DEC, LSI Logic, Accenture, Carnegie Mellon, and Electricite de France. I have also written numerous articles, plus a widely distributed book called "Chip Design for Non-Designers: An Introduction": http://store.pennwellbooks.com/chdefornoin.html.
