My writing background is as colourful as a chameleon. I've been a reporter for local weekly newspapers, content developer for creative design teams, teacher and researcher. For all the hats I've worn, I've had the opportunity to get hands-on experience with the fast-paced and research-intensive multi-disciplinary media landscape. This is a professional environment that I thrive on.

As a journalist, I've written several published articles for Metroland weekly newspaper publications including Hamilton Mountain News, Dundas Star and Stoneycreek News. You need someone to work quickly and efficiently even when the pressure's on and deadlines are tight? I will, without so much as cringing.

As an academic, I've become adept at communicating and articulating ideas in a clear, concise manner. I taught English at an undergraduate level during my university career, proofreading and grading reports while helping students to develop their individual writing skills, so you can rest assured that my familiarity with the complexities of the English language are top-notch. I won't confuse your it's and its.

As a medical technical writer and research assistant, I've worked independently and as part of a creative team. I'm a 'research monster' who knows how to collaborate with subject matter experts or interview subjects in order to guarantee information accuracy and precision. Most importantly, I'm capable of writing the type of attention-grabbing copy clients seek for a diverse range of target audiences.

Even in the spare moments I spend relaxing and feeding my caffeine addiction, I've been advancing in a copywriting training course and attending various community photography workshops.
