Janice Jaicks’s Summary

FitnessFest has become the largest fitness and wellness conference in the Southwest, attracting novice and veteran group exercise instructors, personal trainers, aquatic instructors and mind/body practitioners.

As we grow, we never want to lose the motivation that prompted us to begin our mission in the first place, to inspire the fitness world to be the best that we can be. Our workshops and lectures tend to be small enough in size to keep that personal touch and networking feeling.

FitnessFest's success over the past twenty conferences has been a conglomeration of hard work, dedication, learning and growing. Our goal is to bring you the best education at an affordable price. As an aquatic fitness professional I have trained hundreds of people in the area of aquatic exercise. In addition, I have been an aqua aerobics instructor since 1985. Although I love to teach to all populations, helping older adults feel better through water exercise is what I do most of.

My specialties lie with experience, motivation, inspiration, and a genuine concern for people of all ages and levels.
As far as training other instructors, it's all about communication. Making it fun, being able to offer specific modifications, and being a true motivator.
Regarding our conferences, our key to success is our organizational skills. Customer service-listening to your comments, returning your calls promptly, making sure your paperwork is in order, and staying positive.
