After 23 years working in the banking and insurance industry, providing consultancy services to the financial sector, due to a change in my personal circumstances I left the UK and emigrated to to Egypt.
I have now set up a tourism business which has expended from a start up of providing flats to tourists to a fully fledged tour company. We also sell holiday property and assist with emigration advice.

I am responsible for sales and marketing, tours, sales in fact everything except the legal and operational aspects which are handled by my husband.

I was elected unopposed to the post of Chairman in both 2001 and 2002 and only left due to a change in personal circumstances after which I emigrated to Egypt. I saw PCG through its independence and left it set up for the future in charge of its own destiny. I was the public face of PCG and appeared regularly in the media as a consequence. I was responsible for the day to day management decisions and the implementation of them. I had to deal with members of government, senior civil servants, lobbyists, insurance brokers, banks as well as be accountable to a membership of some 12000 highly individualistic and independent consultants.

CLS were to provide a world-wide Foreign Exchange Settlement system, they were projected to go live in the summer 02 and had a number of testing phases before that. I was part of a large team with specific responsibility for the Systems Integration test including Pilot Members, RTGS and the vendor.

Part of the team that transferred to CSFB when BZW was sold off. Initially involved in conversion of the Equity Settlements system to CSFB. Then responsible for the specification of further Crest enhancements such as Transaction Reporting, Settlement Discipline Enhancements, the subsequent testing and successful implementation. Co-ordinated phased release of software to live and testing environments.
Specific responsibility for the installation of a new Crest interface, Enterprise Broker/ Crest Adapter formerly known as Gloss Hub and Gloss Crest.

Part of the team enhancing Aries, Equity Settlements System to communicate with Crest. ARIES is the BZW development of the TCAM package, ISIS. This is an Oracle database which BZW run on Hewlett Packard/DEC UNIX hardware.
Initially undertook the set up and testing of BZW’s Crest simulator. Although the entire project was to very tight time scales, the simulator was an essential part of the critical path. This was tested and release successfully ahead of schedule. Part of the testing team responsible for testing all enhancements to the Equity Settlements back office system for Crest. The testing and trialing phase included production of test plans, scripts, test data and expected results, together with providing support and liaison between user departments and Crest. BZW implemented all changes required for Day 1 of Crest successfully and on time.

NAG was launching a new Life company providing Protection, Pensions, Savings and Investments products and needed analysis the following areas FactFind, Needs Analysis and Proposal Forms
Responsible for producing Business Requirements for the Electronic Point of Sale (EPOS) sub-system using an Oracle database with interfaces to Threads and Capsil.
Undertook acceptance testing of the final system from the vendor, followed by a successful launch.

Worked on the RUFUS Unit Trust package as a team leader and tester. Covered the design amendments, test, install and support of a third party implementation of the product. RUFUS is a Client Server system, which has been developed under the OS/2 operating system; using Application Manager, a GUI development language and Sybase, the SQL database.
The testing phase involved the development of a system test plan to cover all aspects of Unit Trust administration and the RUFUS product. The system successfully ran in a Model Office environment and went live in January 1995.

Charged with downsizing CUTAS, a Unit Trust Administration package to PC.
Feasibility study in to Unit Trust Registration options, Definition of Requirements for ARTIS, Hoskyns share registration package to accommodate TAURUS, the Stock Exchange initiative and Design of test plan, systems testing and production of user manual for CIMS, Hoskyns valuation product.
Set up and managed a reverse engineering project of CUTAS. This resulted in a functional system design held on an analysis workbench tool. As a result of this project interviewed by the computer media, asked to speak at conferences and published articles on reverse engineering. The project resulted in promotion to Senior Consultant

After 1 year this company was taken over by CMG. Transferred to the Financial Division to work on the design, development, programming and testing of several major insurance and financial systems.
