I helped build the backend of Snaptalent's initial product (see below) in the Django web framework. This included being responsible for technical and product design decisions. Currently I manage the day-to-day operation of the company, manage and test marketing channels for user acquisition, and play a key role in product design. I also do some Python/Django programming and all our server administration and scripting (Python/Ruby).
Snaptalent was initially launched as a distributed recruitment advertising network that posted job ads on contextually relevant sites and served IP targeted ads. (http://www.techcrunch.com/2008/03/12/snaptalent-targets-job-candidates-where-they-work-and-spend-time-online/) We have since changed focus to become a targeted recruitment destination for college-students and recent graduates.
Snaptalent received seed funding from prestigious seed fund Y Combinator, with follow on Series A funding from a diverse group of well known Silicon Valley angel investors.

I initially ran this as a one person consultancy, managing client leads, interactions, and software development. Upon the company's change of direction I handled sales and some social media consulting while managing our development team that was based in London.
Lightbox started out doing Ruby on Rails consulting then shifted focus with the release of Facebook Platform. We specialized in the development of social media applications; widgets developed for distribution across social networks (MySpace, Bebo, etc.) as well as Facebook specific applications. (We were the first company to do this to our knowledge.) We added value by specializing in social media and understanding the environment (and what helps applications become successful) We leveraged that knowledge to help organizations figure out what application(s) would help them reach their target market most effectively.

Performed quantitative market research and developed product placement and pricing strategies for Keen's first bed product (http://www.keenmobility.com/mattresses.php), which was well received by the market. Sourced contacts for possible international trade to New Zealand, researched and documented trade rules and regulations in the Oceanic countries.
Keen Mobility is a medical devices company based in Portland, OR. Keen's vision is to increase the function of people concerning safety, comfort and mobility so they can contribute more in their own daily lives and society.
