Experienced ASP.NET C# Developer, Team Lead and Project Manager
Greater Atlanta Area
After being a professional developer for over 20 years, from C to C#, I have recently worked as a Project Manager for large website deployments where my development experience gives me an edge with the customers and developers on the team.
I've lead development teams for over 10 years, and continue to develop websites using both Community Server and my own customized CMS.
Since 2001 I have specialized in building and improving content management systems, and have built and sold my own CMS company, then worked for a leader in the Enterprise Community Software market.
I've been a Microsoft MVP three times. My e-commerce sites led me to study SEM and conversion and I am now a moderator on the leading SEM community, StomperNet.

Worked with other moderators for the leading SEM community founded by Brad Fallon and Andy Jenkins. Private membership.

October 2000 — Present (8 years 10 months)
Originally formed the company to perform ASP web development contract work and manage www.CoverYourASP.com, a developer community and educational web site.
As CoverYourASP founder, I was invited to become a founding member of ASP Insiders and awarded MVP three times. Visited Microsoft twice to meet with their development teams and offer feedback on early designs of new products under NDA.
Now I concentrate solely on ASP.NET mid and long-term contracts, primarily using Telligent's Community Server and Evolution platforms.

Managed service projects for customers such as Intel, Texas Instruments, Mars and Insurance.com who used Telligent's Evolution intranet platform. My role as project manager was to take the project from SOW to completion, organizing everything from software and hosting requirements to daily standup calls with remote developers.
I earlier worked on the Community Server product team and was the sole developer on Microsoft's silverlight.net web site during its implementation and maintenance phases. I was the Dev Lead for all the MSFT developer-centered websites such as www.asp.net, www.iis.net and windowsclient.net.
(Online Media industry)
January 2001 — 2005 (4 years)
Built a working business around the concept of providing residents free access to local community web sites. Local businesses paid for their pages, but at rates far lower than other media at the time.
After being tested in three Metro areas, the site was optimized and pushed nationwide with 3,000 sites and reached 1m page views per month in September 2003.
(Computer Software industry)
November 2004 — November 2005 (1 year 1 month)
Leveraged the 3 years building the OurLittleNet city network by spending 6 months repackaging the code into a world class Content Management System (CMS). Having served over 50 million page views and registered 3,000+ members it was well proven and had functionality missing from systems costing 100 times more.
Targeting the familiar ASP.NET market and taking advantage of being MVP's and ASP Insiders led to the sale of this company to Telligent Systems.
