Jim Randel is a graduate of the Columbia University School of Law and has made a living as an entrepreneur buying and selling commercial real estate and businesses. Throughout his entire 30 year career it has been a passion to write, speak and teach on subjects of financial and personal achievement.
Randel's first book, The Real Estate Game, was published in 1986 and received national recognition from investors and critics around the U.S. The publication of this book led to various speaking engagements around the country including Harvard and NYU Business Schools. During this period Jim also became a television commentator on business issues and from 1988 to 1990 on a daily program on the Financial News Network (which became CNBC) where he was honored for his programming.
Jim's second book, Confessions of a Real Estate Entrepreneur, was written in 2006 and reached #1 in several Amazon categories. The publication of this book led to numerous requests for him to speak at investor conferences around the U.S. including Kansas City, Seattle, Washington D.C., Boston, Providence and Milwaukee.
In 2008 he founded Rand Publishing which, under the imprint The Skinny On™ publishes a contemporary and unique line of illustrated non-fiction books.
The most recent book of this series, The Skinny on Real Estate Investing is the first in a three-part series of books about the subject. This book gives an overview of the topic, outlining questions to help you determine if real estate investing is right for you.
The Skinny on Credit Cards was released in April 2009 and is the story of Billy and Beth, a typical American couple, as they struggle with the use (and abuse) of their credit cards.
The Skinny on Willpower was released in February 2009 and is the story of a young couple - each with a goal that requires the development of willpower.
