Project management of applications development for the largest company warehouse operating BPCS software on an AS/400 platform and utilizing RPG and CL programming languages.

Project Leader of BPCS implementation at the Trolli plant location in Creston, Iowa.

Managed the pallet project interfacing bar code scanning with the BPCS software package resulting in streamlined product warehousing, inventory control and order shipment.

Developed enterprise wide programming of Telxon scanning devices for inventory control.

Managed a staff of junior programmers to support the IT helpdesk and to improve solution turnaround.

Developed a software change management system for the IT programming department staff.

The Stiffel Company manufactured quality lamps for over 68 years and redefined the concept of lighting and lamps used for home décor since its inception in 1932. Stiffel continued its operation until 2000, when it had to close due to financial problems.

Responsibilities:
Maintained the Business Planning and Control Software (BPCS) package on an IBM System/38 utilizing RPG II, RPG III, CL, and SQL programming languages.

Key Accomplishments:
• Successfully developed and implemented the interface of the BPCS database and electronic data interchange (EDI) X.12 protocol using customized data integration programming with third party Preminos software. This implementation was required to accommodate large scale ordering, billing and shipping for Sears.
• Successfully developed and implemented the interface of bar code scanning with the BPCS software package database which resulted in streamlining order shipments and updating inventory real time.
• Developed and implemented the interface of manufacturing shop floor labor reporting and payroll processing that reduced payroll errors by 100%. This process involved more accurate entry of shop floor labor directly to the BPCS database and more accurate assessment of labor costs with payroll.
