I'm a second-year CS grad student with a strong interest in software that can manipulate, transform, and analyze large volumes of data efficiently. Last year, I investigated new programming models to support data-intensive supercomputing. Over the summer, I improved a system that schedules dataflow graphs on a multi-core platform, primarily to process streams of images.
parallel computing
load balancing, synchronization, concurrency control
fault-tolerance
redundancy, transactions and checkpoint-recovery
database design
normalization, constraints and triggers, stored procedures
data studies
descriptive and inferential statistics, regression analysis
