Prior to founding The Sterling Group in 2007, Mr. Duncan served in a variety of Senior Management positions of entrepreneurial start-up companies. Most notably, James served as the COO of an Inc. 500 company that was sold in 2002. And he most recently was a co-founder of a start-up recruiting firm specializing in placing former military officers. With more than 6 years of search experience, James Duncan has successfully completed searches for a diverse client base including Fortune 1000 companies, Private Equity Portfolio Companies, and Family Offices. In addition to his corporate experience, he also served as an Infantry Officer in the U.S. Army for 5 years. Mr. Duncan holds his Bachelor of Science degree in Management from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
