James Burns is a graphic designer and animator who lives in Avondale Estates, Georgia. As a graphic designer for television, James created 3D animations for clients such as CNN, TBS and various television stations around the country.
In 2002, he was diagnosed with a detached retina, which threatened his eyesight. After recovering, and at age 45, he wrote and drew his first comic book, "Detached" about the experience, as well as the fear and doubts that were connected with it. Since then James added commercial illustration to his repertoire, as well as creating the weekly comic strip "Grumbles," which has been running for the last 3 years in Atlanta's "Sunday Paper."
Well-versed with all major graphic packages for the Macintosh, including Flash, LightWave3D, and the entire Adobe Suite. Has significant experience with the multi-generational digital layering and multi-platform graphic production, as well as networking and workflow issues. Possesses the unusual combination of design, verbal, problem solving, as well as technical skills.
