I like to call myself the accidental software engineer, having been sent by my first job out of college to software development training rather than to computer networking and security training due to a clerical error and confusion with the travel office and dealing with my rather common last name.
Since those early big five consulting days I've created a niche for myself as a software developer having specialized in high availability and heavily trafficked web sites. My career has had a certain Forrest Gump-ness to it, having worked for the likes of clients ranging from buy.com to Fandango to MTV/VH1 to Enron.
Long term I hope to continue working in software development in some capacity. My long term goals are to shift from detailed implementation being my primary area of responsibility to focusing on other facets of the development life cycle, notably the design and management of a software team and its processes.
Web applications in ASP.Net; SOA middle tier design; CRM implementations and integrations; web service API design and integration. C#, .Net 3.0, .Net 3.5, WCF, WF.
