    - Glacier Metal Co., Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, Scotland. (Now Glazener-Spicer).
-2. Projects undertaken concurrently (concurrent engineering even then!). Both projects involved alloys chosen for their tribological-low friction properties and engineeried in bimetallic strips for bushes and bearings on steel backing

Glacier Metal were famous for their innovative socially conscious management policy known as "The Glacier Experiment." Saddly, this proud, skilled, innovative engineering company encountered difficulty due to poor estimation of the hazard of lead fumes during lead melting and lead powder manufacture.

    Activities and Societies:
Active member of the University Metallurgical Club.
