Outside academia I have strongly pursued youth culture interests; founding the largest Japanese animation and video game convention in the UK (Amecon) — catering to 1200+ attendees biennially — in addition to hosting multiple video gaming societies, and gaming events for London MCM Expo. I remain a stalwart community officer for Geek/Nerd culture in Britain.
