Since 1968, I've been a professional freelance fiction writer. I am creator of the Sime~Gen Universe, primary author of Star Trek Lives!, founder of the Star Trek Welcommittee, creator of the term Intimate Adventure for the newly identified plot archetype, winner of the Galaxy Award for Spirituality in Science Fiction and one of the first Romantic Times Awards for Best Science Fiction Novel. For many years, I headed the Science Fiction Writers of America Speaker's Bureau and am a veteran public speaker.

With new novels and non-fiction being published, my work is now in e-book form, audio-dramatization and on XM Satellite Radio. I have been sf/f reviewer for The Monthly Aspectarian since 1993.
