The role has full accountability for HR leadership supporting internationally the Motion Technologies business unit and specifically in the emerging markets.
Reporting to the BU President and the F&MC Group VP HR, he is also responsible for all human resources activities for the following sites: Oud-Beijerland (Netherlands), Ostrava (Czech Republic), Bad Camberg (Germany), Villeneuve-Loubet (France), Wuxi (China), Novi (MI) and Hebron (KY) in the USA. In addition he is the business unit HR interface for ITT China & India organization in light of its further plans of expansion in the Asia Pacific region. The role has as well HR accountability for the Motion Technologies Global Headquarters in Lainate (Milan - Italy).
Being responsible for the BU talent acquisition process too, he also continues to drive and lead this effort by providing access to suppliers and guidance on staffing/recruiting strategies for the F&MC group business units in the EMEA region.
ITT is a hi-tech engineering and manufacturing global enterprise with 40,000 associates in 55 countries. In 2008 its 2 business segments generated US$ 11.7 billion revenues. The ITT Fluid & Motion Control Group (7 business units) accounts for US$ 5.5 billion revenues and 20,000 employees. Within the F&MC Group, Motion Technologies designs and manufactures friction pads and back plates for braking applications (Friction Technologies) as well as shock absorbers and dampers (Koni) for the world's largest manufacturers of cars, trucks, trailers, buses, light commercial vehicles and railways. The BU has also a strong presence in the automotive and public transportation after market. Motion Technologies services most of the global automotive and public transportation OEM and OES and also operates as a substantial facility for R&D and testing of new materials with 4 Technology Centers in Italy, Netherlands, Germany and USA.
