Systems Administrator at Systematic Software
Århus Area, Denmark
Lots of experience with IT operations. Everything from desktops, PDA's, Smartphones to servers. Have been working in this field most of my career.
I've been doing everything from normal day to day IT operations, to designing procedures/workflows, creating strategies, to making visions come true.
My interests are mostly within the system management area. I have a belief that any IT environment should be managed and run as easily as possible, with the least possible effort in the day to day business, at the same time supporting the business needs, whatever they may be.
And that is the area in which I excel - finding solutions. Sometimes creating the solutions.
My goals are to move more towards collaboration and information tools. I've come to realize that while the infrastructure is of course an inevital part of an IT environment, what's really useful is the information it provides and stores.
How to present that as useful information. How to make people work together better.
Of other interest is mobility and especially the use of smartphones and pda's to support the everyday lives of professionals.
I have a very good ability to spot areas that can be optimized by implementing better workflows, to gain more from the energy spent. I also have a good ability to produce practical solutions from ideas and visions, to create a far more effective daily business for both customers, workplace and colleagues.
My experience is primarily based in the Windows world, although I do have experience with both Linux and OS X also.
