Jackie Peters’s Summary
Starting out 12 years ago as a programmer, Jackie’s career path has lead from programming, to design, to multimedia production and ultimately to marketing.
In 1998, Jackie founded Pixelcommotion, an interactive design firm that specialized in multimedia presentations, website design, animation and digital video post production.
In January of 2001 Jackie co-founded Heavybag Media, an interactive marketing firm. She develops campaigns and marketing strategies that utilize social tools, community platforms, traditional and non-traditional media and cutting edge technology in order to enable brands to engage their audience on a meaningful level.
Through Heavybag Media, Jackie also partnered with Internet and mobile startup, Robotube Games in 2003, which produces casual online and mobile games.
In addition to her role at Heavybag Media, Jackie is an interim member of the Board of Directors for the Social Media Club and Director of the LA Chapter of the Social Media Club. She is a member of the International Academy of Visual Arts (IAVA) and recipient of several industry awards including W3 and Ad Club awards.
