With a budget of $30,000, created the leading destination for parents online including thousands of articles, hundreds of Ask the Doctor, Midwife, Nutritionist, etc. columns, scores of non-profit parenting organizations hosted under our umbrella, and, at the time, the only bulletin boards and chat rooms on the internet designed exclusively for parents of all kinds - from single parents, bereaved parents, expecting parents, military parents and much more. At time of acquisition, page views were at 6 million monthly (double that of our iVillage competitor ParentSoup, which was funded with $10 million of seed funding). Acquisition was completed after a bidding war with Excite.com.
