  The CD-Uitleen Drienerlo is best described as a music library. Originally a library for phonograph records, they have expanded into other media, primarly audio CD's. The CD Uitleen is a challenging organisation, run almost entirely by volunteers from all walks of life, but with a high incidence of college students. This is due to its location in Enschede and its original location on the University of Twente campus, which it left in 1998, in a merger with the music department of the Enschede public library.
