I made a general start in Communication Studies (semiotics and cognitive sciences) but then I quickly focused on Human Machine Interaction. I was a Human Factors intern in the Air Traffic Control domain and my undergraduate thesis was on the redesign of an experimental flight instrument.
During a 1year Masters in Communication Environments Design I designed innovative tools and services for a wireless town in Tuscany. My growing interest in interactive media and environments led me to IUAV University of Venice. My graduate degree in Visual and Multimedia Communication strongly focused on mobile apps design and physical computing.
I felt new forms of play overlapping technologies to environments could be an interesting research field. I was an intern in a leading cross media game design company in NY, USA. Such experience helped me designing a location-based game for my graduate thesis with Gillian Crampton Smith.
I'm now a user experience designer in a Milan-based consulting agency. My working field ranges from new social media to web tools. I develop concepts, design solutions and carry on testing sessions.
