Indigenous Public Relations and Media Specialist
New Zealand
A passion for people has led me to a twenty two year career in the media industry. A journalist by trade, I have worked as a TVNZ journalist for ten years before joining a high profile corporate communications team. In 2001, I formed Silk Associates, the same year the company won a Public
Relations Award. I have since published two Brown Pages media directories and worked on many public relations, event management and media contracts.
My strengths are developing strategic communications plans, publicity, event management and TV production. Being of Maori and Pacific descent, I am able to use the best of both worlds in traditional and contemporary settings. I also have an intimate knowledge of Maori and Pacific media networks and have access to large databases of contacts.
