I work in the Transport section of the Technology Transfer Division at Deimos Space. This section focuses on the development of software systems for the railway sector. These systems are responsible for showing information to passengers about traffic of trains. Some of my responsibilities are:
-Management and development of IT projects and leadership of a small-sized technical group.
-Development of an architecture for rapid deployment of event distributed based applications (DDS and SOA approachs).
-Extreme Programming is taken as the main foundation regarding with design and codification phases.
- Design of large reliable and distributed systems developed in Java (RMI) and C.
- Integration with different sorts of devices like p.a systems, IP cameras, multimedia panels and RF modems.
- Integration with automatic railway traffic control systems such as CTC and ATS, from different manufacturers like Dimetronic, Telvent or Thales.
- Deployment of wireless sensor networks and data integration coming from these networks.
- Development of embedded applications designed to maximize the life of the sensors' batteries.
