I have written and published articles on a wide range of subjects, everything from the business side of the anime business, to book launches, scuba diving for the 50+ age group, same-sex marriage, the adoption of feral cats, Toronto's Distillery District, and so on. I wrote an MA thesis on Charles Finney's theological system, and had several papers recommended for publication, while I was at the University of Calgary.
I'm also writing a book on fundamentalism in North America and an ebook on same-sex marriage, and have finished a YA novel and a speculative novel currently under consideration by agents.
I also take on proofreading and editing projects of all sizes and on almost any subject. For example, I previously copyedited educational materials for an arborist association in the U.S., business documents for a startup company in western Canada, and an academic book on Surrealism and the sacred.
Meanwhile, I've spent the last 18 years doing records projects for oil companies and insurance companies. I am essentially a business archaeologist, rooting through ancient records -- hard copy and electronic -- discovering things even the business itself has forgotten were there. I organize these into a coherent order, and log them in a form where the information can be easily accessed.
I'm interested in mythology and world religions, history, politics, global warming and green solutions, philosophy, animé...countless things.
I'm a former Calgarian now living in Toronto. I do miss Calgary -- and the Flames! -- but I enjoy the multicultural aspects of Toronto, and the more liberal political atmosphere.
