Greetings! My name is Taylor Harris. As a current senior at Michigan State University, I am seeking to develop my skill sets in advertising, public relations, and marketing. It is pertinent to start planning for my future, and start getting my goals off paper and into effect. I am interested in a full time position with your company because I feel that working with this type of company, in this type of environment, with goal oriented people, will help me to be successful upon graduation.
I bring fresh ideas, creativity, and a willingness to go that extra mile to get the job done. For example, while working at the MSU College of Music as a communications intern, I was responsible for creating event flyers, managing press databases, scheduling photo shoots, drafting press releases and media advisories, as well as a multitude of other duties. My organizational skills allowed me to produce quality documents and meet strenuous deadlines.
I am interested in advertising, design, customer service, and special events planning. Working with your company will provide me adequate experience in these fields. It will also allow me to show your company what creative influence I have to offer. In addition, I am an avid writer, and I take pride in my grammatical skills. I am very familiar with the Microsoft Office suit and InDesign graphic programs. I am a team player, and work well with others. I am also a firm believer in punctuality, which will be clearly demonstrated upon acceptance into your company.
