Supplied console engineering support for CHeCS in the Mission Evaluation Room, MER, included crew activities and use of the CMS exercise equipment, all HMS H/W, & EHS H/W. Attended training classes for all H/W in my charge & studied flight rules pertaining to all H/W in EHS. Reviewed engineering drawings & obtained information for engineers.

    Lead Engineering team member responsible for developing the H/W and S/W engineering requirements which included procedures for Engineering to consolidate all ISS Onboard Information Technology (OIT) Systems. The Division LAN (DL) now Operations Directorate (OD) was the other team involved in this consolidation effort. NASA customer directed the System Manger to work with DL to conduct a pre-VoIP test before upgrading the IP PHONE S/W and H/W for upgrade to a production system for the ISS. Engineering and a member of he OPS LAN Team tested all the H/W and S/W in a simulated air to ground loop before entering procurement for the Cisco Call Manager and IP Phone software. Provided equipment procurement and led the project which placed the IP PHONE and the Cisco Call Manger system in place from Beta status to the full production product. An award was provided to the entire team because of the mental support IP Phone provides to the onboard crew members.

    Implemented installations of boundary intrusion protection systems known as the CITS/NMS-BIP. Supplied, sustained trained the Air Force of the Command Communications Squadrons CC&S for 18 bases. Command and control of the following equipment suites were utilized for project but its configuration is sealed for security. NT servers, Firewall, CISCO routers &switches and other equipment to complete the design security used. GPS & 3 APC UPS’s, A complete Network Management system , Legato Back up and tape back up system. Reports based on an analysis for all USAF base visited. Presented and In-brief upon arrival to the Commander and his/her staff of each base informing them of the installation and procedures and placement of the infrastructure on their network.
