SHASTRA has also set-up a pilot hospital under its "Shambhala" General Hospital project, to offer medical services through preventive and curative programs, free of cost to the poorest of the population and on a "non profit no loss" basis to the rest.

This eight-bedded pilot hospital is setup to provide the best mother and childcare facilities in the area and is equipped with the latest techniques of surgery (for gyneacology and obstetrics).

Shambhala General Hospital provides immediate medical attention to all patients through its In-Patient, Out-Patients facilities, an operation theatre to carry out surgical interventions backed by a complete radiology & diagnostic facilities and own ambulance to meet emergencies.

Vic's achievements included major reforms in student rights, establishment of a common student charter & constitutional framework/models for student councils throughout the state of Queensland, Australia.

As QTSAN President, Vic was also liaising with the Australian National Training Authority (ANTA) assisting with major structural reform of Australia's nationalized educational system, introducing & implementing Quality Assurance systems and uniformity in educational standards & delivery, nation-wide.

Southbank Institute of Technology (now renamed) is Queensland's largest Institute with some 110,000 students. It is also Australia's 2nd largest Institute, with five colleges, each having their own student councils that are managed by a peak body known as the Student Association Institute Network (SAIN).

As Chairman of the Queensland student councils peak body (QTSAN), Vic set many precedents in student welfare and rights. Vic's personal motto was to establish standards that all other student councils would admire and adopt, and be a shining example of how large student organizations can function and manage their own affairs whilst their members are involved in education & training.

Most notable was Vic's famous marketing campaign on AllData's premium product "Bristol Research", popularized through calendars, print & electronic media reports, industry reviews ... and possessing a sense of "street wisdom" with regarding appreciating the "market pulse" and presenting the products/services accordingly.

Over just three years, Vic completed studies in management, marketing, computer studies, quality assurance and workplace health & safety.
Member of the Institute Executive Council as student delegate, QA auditing & compliance, corporate sponsorships, fund-raising events, and architect of the student union reciprocal membership deal struck with the Queensland University of Technology Student Council.
Awarded Honorary Life Membership of the Kangaroo Point College Student Council and the Southbank Institute of TAFE Student Association.

In his 1st year Vic was elected Treasurer - Student Council; By year end the ledgers were balanced with a healthy profit!
