During my university years I founded with the help of two great friends of mine the project UniversiBO. We started a volunteering association with the aim of build an open source and free (as in freedom) web application for blended-leaning built by University of Bologna's students.

and later other developers coordinator (6-8 developers).

A great and various experience!
...from installing our on server, choosing technology, to desining and developing the PHP application, reenginering it, setting up collaboration with students/developers, finding sponsors, manage integration with the University systems, setting up a vision for the group, sharing values, sharing knowlegde and having a lot of FUN!
I'm proud that some of the people I met during this experience are still my coworkers!!
