Ilana Bittner’s Summary

As a youngling, Ilana dreamed of being an astronaut, an Olympic basketball player, a safari guide, a Disney Imagineer, and a director for Sesame Street. While most of these aspirations aren’t compatible, she’s been fortunate to have achieved many of them vicariously through her career as a media producer.

For example, Ilana trained as an astronaut at Space Camp while filming her award-winning kids program, TripFLIX, a uniquely interactive DVD that allows kids to create their own road trip adventures.

For 5 years, Ilana wrote, produced, and directed a weekly television show and several sports documentaries for the University of Maryland Football, Basketball, and Lacrosse programs. These shows aired on HTS, Fox Sports, WJLA TV7, WMAR TV12, and other regional sports networks. Although she didn't go to the Olympics, she did get to shoot around with many USA Basketball players.

Ticket To Ride was a pilot Ilana produced for the Travel Channel. During production, Ilana got to feed crocodiles, play with rhinos, pet porcupines (front to back only!) and took viewers on a tour of Bush Gardens Africa’s Safari.

While a student at the University of Maryland, Ilana procured an internship with Disney Studios. While never attaining the level of Imagineer, she did write for Disney’s Eyes & Ears magazine, and worked as a PA on The Mickey Mouse Club and Let’s Make a Deal.

While Big Bird has yet to call, Ilana has written and produced dozens of e-learning programs for both children and adults. Collaborating with partners like McGraw-Hill, Harcourt, Prometric, Merck, Pfizer, Dryers Grand Ice Cream, and MediaVest she’s created learning programs about public speaking, geography, asthma, osteoporosis, cardio-vascular disease, project management, hiring techniques and many more. She’s even creating a portion of the driving test for the Irish government.

Ilana lives in an a wholly testosterone filled environment with her husband Dave and their sons Scott and Jack.
