Lead a team of programmer/analysts in support of the customer service systems called CLASS. Based on a mainframe platform, the CLASS system utilizes DB2, CICS, COBOL, and SAS to maintain and service student loans.
Was responsible as the Global IT Lead for a major re-engineering project to revamp how Sallie Mae obtains and applied student enrollment information against the repository of student loans serviced by the CLASS system.
Was one of the first ten hires for Sallie Mae’s Wilkes-Barre based Information Technology Department.
Accomplishments: Represented Sallie Mae as a volunteer for Junior Achievement with the Wilkes-Barre Area School District.

Provided support to the clients traders via a hotline. This support was very critical when in August, 2003 New York experienced a power black out. I supported the hotline from Scranton when all other locations lost power.

Responsible for all areas related to data capture. This included data scrubbing and transformation. Utilizing OLAP tools developed and organized various data marts and data cubes that were easily accessible to management and marketing.
Designed and maintained the various data marts that made up the enterprise data warehouse model. These efforts consolidated data from various legacy applications to make meaningful stores of information within the data warehouse.
