Business Relationship Development & Management
San Francisco Bay Area
My background is scattered, reflective of a number of passions: I've written for newspapers in Costa Rica, taught in Thailand, marketed million-dollar software systems to hospital executives in San Diego and attempted to start my own companies. As I've earned a graduate degree and become more committed in relationships, I'm working towards establishing a consistent record of professional achievement and growth. My strongest capabilities have always been in communication, problem solving, and planning.
Written and oral communications, problem solving, decision making, customer service and retention, productivity improvement, market research, competitive analysis, quantitative analysis, marketing, project management, Spanish, Mandarin Chinese

I split my time into two areas - business development and user operations. For business development, I manage the Yelp API program and evaluate incoming partnership opportunities. In user operations, I'm responsible for communications between the Support department and the roster of Yelp clients, in addition to user support, site administration and more.
Both roles involve effective communication, consistent and responsive decision making, problem-solving skills and teamwork.

I provide weekly market research updates for companies involved in patient safety technology, with a client list including McKesson, Hospira, and Microsoft. I search news articles, press releases, trade journals, academic journals, and blogs for relevant case studies, business leads or legislative and regulatory updates, and present my findings in both a RSS-enabled web format and Word digest. I also administer the Drupal-based system. The business is an offshoot of partnerships I formed at Bridge Medical.
