Ian Hogg’s Summary
Hello. I'm a freelance creative. Simple eh? Ok, ok - I can already sense the questions; what exactly am I? An art director? A copywriter? A designer? What gives? What heresy is this I write? Well, l am a little bit of everything.
Let me explain, I have over 10 years industry experience, the last three working freelance. During this time it has mainly been my job to come up with ideas. Big exciting ideas. The sort of ideas that clients want to take home and feed biscuits to.
Once I have had an idea, it has then been my job to help produce it. And that's where all the job titles make their timely appearance. I can develop an idea in whatever media is most appropriate; print, digital, broadcast, or even those strange media categories which everyone seems to re-name every couple of months. (That means you - 'Guerilla' marketing).
I work in most of the packages from Adobe Creative Suite, both print and digital, I can design and build websites (XHTML / CSS) - and will even still boot Quark up if you insist.
My 33 National and International awards (including a One Show Pencil), have been won across all the different creative disciplines.
