I graduated in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from City University in London. After a period of time as a Design Engineer for AVO and Marconi Underwater Systems, I moved into a more commercial and user focussed role as Applications Manager for a small high technology distribution and support company. I joined Securitag International as Engineering Manager supporting their Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) product range.
After the acquisition of Securitag by Sensormatic, I took several roles covering engineering management and customer care, culminating as Director of Special Projects for the European service and support organisation. When Tyco International acquired Sensormatic, I concentrated on international product safety and compliance. Following that I took on a role managing RFID solutions and projects for Tyco Safety Products in Europe. This year I have accepted a new challenge as the Regulatory Affairs Manager for the EMEA region.
I have been an active contributor to the International Standards and Regulations arena since the early 1990’s. I have negotiated and lobbied at EU, National and Agency level and am currently a member of Standards groups in IEC, IEEE, CENELEC and ETSI.
