Justin Hubbard's Summary

I'm considered more of a Web Designer with professional Front-End Development skills. Let me add that I'm also proficient in Branding, PHP and a number of CMS systems, MVC frameworks and others. Just take a look at the next section.

I've been around a little:

150+ UI Elements, Scripts and Wordpress Plugins sold on CodeCanyon.
6 Five Start Tutorials on the Tuts+ Network
Guest Blogger on Six Revisions and WebDesignerDepot
Worked with Large Clients such as the Louisville Airport and HRAffiliates
Designed and Developed over 50 websites in Wordpress

And have worked with a few technologies:

HTML and CSS - 5 Years (up to HTML5 and CSS3)
jQuery - 5 years
Prototype - 1 year
Bootstrap - 2 years
Wordpress - 5 Years
Magento - 1 Year
CodeIgnitor - 1 Year
Drupal - 1 Year
MySQL and PHP - 5 Years
Photoshop and Adobe Fireworks - 6 Years
Logo Design - 2 years
Branding - 3 years

My Journey:

My professional experience started around 2009 when I stumbled upon my first client on GetAFreelancer.com. It was highly unexpected and the client ended up hiring me full time. At first I was excited because the pay was amazing, then I stopped caring about that as much as the work itself. I fell in love with being a Web Designer, even though the client had me working in Smarty; a template framework using PHP. Quickly I fell in love with Web Development just as much as Web Design. Since then I haven't specialized in neither Design nor Development, it's always been both.

I've learned a lot, accomplished some things and made some mistakes but all of it has made me a better and more productive member of the design & development community.
