Ivan Aleksic’s Summary

By the end of the year 2000, he started working as a freelance web designer and Flash animator at Massiva. He gathered some great experience and has learned a lot working on many different projects.

Applied for a job at Belgrade newspaper company Glas Javnosti. On the same day, he was accepted and got a job as a web administrator. He had great experience working in huge company with a lot of employees.

In March 2003, he had to quit all jobs and serve in the army as every Serbian citizen duty. After army without asking he took offered job opportunity and started working as a OEM servicer and sales man. There he upgraded his skill in IT and also had time to catch up with web design industry.

At the very beginning of the 2004 he was contracted by Platinum Digital Media and funeralOne. Both companies are web design oriented companies, so the time ahead of him was perfect for improving knowledge in every aspect of web design and development.

In April 2005 he was invited to Canada by the TLH Heliskiing company to improve their corporate image and Internet appearance and that of their three sister companies.

In October 2005 he received an invitation to join Cactimedia in Belgrade. There, he started as a web designer, but rapidly advanced to a position of a Lead designer/Project manager. He managed three employees and delivered award winning web sites.

By February 2006, he accepted a job as a Creative Director at Belgrade based Maccom Media company. Managing five employees, he put great effort to establish a good name and a solid portfolio for this company, but after a year, it was revealed that the company's primary investor had other plans for it.

Disappointed, but determined not to stop his personal and professional advancement, he decided to move on. Always a positive thinker, he sees this situation as another valuable experience and a good source of material to thicken his portfolio.
