I did some incredibly fun and exciting work at Vodafone R&D in Maastricht, The Netherlands, and worked with truly marvelous people! Still, I won't be able to tell much about it. Secrecy is, indeed, key at R&D.

I did multiple development projects as a freelancer from the moment I could legally sell them.
Of special notice is an ERP system me and friend, back then both 18 years old, did for a Gas delivery company (A Barrigás), which involved a very early contact with distributed, mobile applications - that we implemented by integrating a Psion Organizer II PDA. We were doing distributed Invoicing and Billing, Fleet Management, Account Management, and it was actually the first ERP-like system I'd seen. ;) It was way cool, though.
