Suresh has extensive experience in handling e-mail abuse and postmaster work, heading all anti-spam operations at Outblaze Limited, which has been acquired by IBM as part of LotusLive iNotes.
Suresh directs Postmaster and Abuse teams responsible for setting and enforcing Acceptable Use Policy, most recently across the almost 40 million active email accounts operated by Outblaze. He additionally provides strategic vision on antispam filtering, and has been a widely quoted media spokesman for Outblaze on spam and cybersecurity issues.
Previous jobs included a stint on the Security and Abuse desk at Juno.com (now United Online) and then setting up the anti-spam operations at BPL Innovision before joining Outblaze in 2001.
Suresh has been actively lobbying for realistic solutions at technological, legislative and policy levels to spam since 1998. He is coordinator of APCAUCE (the Asia Pacific wing of the Coalition Against Unsolicited Commercial Email), as well being the vice chair of the management committee for the APRICOT network operators conference.
He has worked on a field research project on cybersecurity for developing countries for the ITU, in association with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), and has earlier written research papers on spam for the OECD and for UNDP/APDIP.
He has given well-received talks and keynote speeches on spam around the world at conferences organized by the OECD and ITU, as well as at industry events such as MAAWG and APRICOT. He has been widely interviewed in publications including Businessweek, the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, the Washington Post, Wired and PC Magazine.
In recognition of his tireless work against the growing spam problem, Businessweek magazine profiled him as one of 2002's top 25 e-business professionals.

I was founder-president of, and am currently coordinator of CAUCE Asia Pacific (http://www.apcauce.org) and have been active in CAUCE since the late 1990s, when, as a student, I helped start CAUCE India. CAUCE - the Coalition against Unsolicited Commercial Email - is the largest volunteer antispam organization in the world, with a presence in the USA, Canada, Europe and the asiapac region.
APCAUCE is an informal grouping of CAUCE organizations from different economies around the asiapac region. Its activities (and mine) include organizing regular technical and public policy conferences around the asiapac region, as well as contributing responses to commens solicited from different governments in the region on current or proposed antispam legislation.
Oh behalf of APCAUCE, I also participate in antispam activities organized by groups in industry (such as MAAWG), as well as inter-governmental organizations such as ITU, APECTEL and OECD.
