My role as senior developer and team lead, was to introduce best-practice, Agile methodologies into the development process, and to act as senior developer, advising in architectural decisions.

Major project to migrate system form Oracle Forms to a web-enabled solution. RITS is part of the bank’s Real Time Gross Settlements system, responsible for handling intra-day settlements between all banks.

Software architect also undertaking team-leading and mentoring to a team of 8 developers. Advised management regarding new technologies and development processes. Input was provided towards decisions ranging from security, hardware, development environment, testing strategies and staff recruitment.

Solution encompassed security, redundancy, disaster recovery and scalability with support for non-repudiation using PKI.
