I have a long standing career in baseball beginning with the Milwaukee Braves as an 17 year old. I continued my Major League Baseball Career as a catcher with the Chicago White Sox staying with them for 6 years and continuing with the New York Yankees, the Los Angeles Angels, the Houston Astros and the Montreal Expos for a total of 14 years.
I've worked in many capacities in baseball including a tutor, scout, coach, and a manager of youth teams ranging in age from 13 thru college. Many of the players I have tutored or coached, have gone on to have successful careers in Professional baseball or used their talents to receive college scholarships.

The Angels is an outstanding organization, then and now. Although my time with the team was short, I continue to join them for fundraisers, outreach clinics, and angels alumni events. Their yearly Angels Fest, any a variety of charity golf tournaments and clinics are an excellent way to keep the community involved.

My fans called me "SupHerrmann", "Fort Herrmann". My time in Chicago was the highlight of my career. I met many lifelong friends with the White Sox and that is where I received the nickname I still use today, "Hoggy".
