By day, I'm the associate director of Women's Audio Mission, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of women in the recording arts. I'm actively involved with local music nonprofits, including the TEC Foundation and Music In Schools Today.
I'm an expert music and technology writer, available for freelance projects. I've written hundreds of features, interviews and other articles about music recording, tour production, sound for picture and audio technology. My work has appeared in Mix, Remix, Mix en Español and Berklee Today.
My first book, Assistant Engineer Handbook: Gigs In the Recording Studio and Beyond, was published by Schirmer in 2004, and has been required coursework at Berklee College of Music.
I've edited three popular music books: Essentials of Music for Audio Professionals, The Complete Music Business Office and The Dictionary of Music Business Terms.
I'm also a seasoned marketing writer, with experience producing press releases, media kits and promotional copy. I'm currently honing my grant writing skills.
My first love is music; I've been a musician for 30 years, and I'm a fan of all styles and genres.
